“You give me five minutes, I give you all my predictions for the gameweek! Get ready for gameweek 23!”
A recap of what the dirtsheet is about…
The Eleven are my picks for the week. No differentials, no risks, just who should do well.
The Captain is the player who is the strongest captaincy choice for the gameweek.
The Clean Sheets are the teams who I expect to have the best chance of a clean sheet for the gameweek.
The UNlikely Suspects are this weeks risky picks, perfect if you need/want to take a gamble!
DIRTSHEET: GAMEWEEK 23
– The Eleven – (3-4-3)
Michel Vorm (SWA) – A clean sheet and save points could be on the cards for the Dutchman.
Guy Demel (WHU) – Double gameweek and little doubt about his gametime. Good option for future gameweeks.
Pablo Zabaletta (MCY)- Solid fixture vs a travel-sick Fulham. Has the attacking potential to score well.
Kieran Gibbs (ARS) – Recent attacking points push him ahead of Sagna for the double gameweek.
Marouane Fellaini (EVE) – The Saints will be in turmoil after the sacking of their manager for little reason. Expect Felliani to capitalize.
Juan Mata (CHE) – Will certainly start vs Arsenal and will hope to build on an incredible run of form.
Theo Walcott (ARS) – The strongest attacking player over the double game week. No brainer.
Steven Gerrard (LIV) – Having been featured in a recent article, and with doubts surrounding Suarez (admission of diving) and Sturridge (game fitness), the time is now for Gerrard to shine.
Romelu Lukaku (WBA) – Superb strength and skill, could gain hero status with a good display vs archrivals Villa.
Sergio Aguero (MCY) – He’s back and will be relishing the chance to take on a leaky Fulham defense.
Papiss Cisse (NEW) – With new strikers incoming at Newcastle, he has the opportunity to show what he is capable of in his favoured position.
– The Captain
Theo Walcott (ARS). Walcott will be buoyed by a new bumper deal and has 180 minutes to show the world why he is worth 100k per week.
– The Clean Sheets
Look to Man City, Liverpool and Swansea.
– The UNusual Suspects
DF: Ian Harte – Not the best score last week, but certainly worth another shot at 3.8
MD: James Milner – Superb last gw which fully justified his selection. Could be a huge differential.
FW: Daniel Sturridge – Could potentially start and has a great opportunity to win over the Anfield faithful vs Norwich.
Captain: I’m going with Eden Dzeko. Will have all the motivation in the world, and is up against a poor Fulham side. Despite super performances, he is continually dropped back to the bench when Aguero and Tevez are fit. He needs to show Mancini why this is no longer an option.
